The Sheffield was originally built in 1978 and was one of the largest rental buildings in Manhattan
with over 800 units. In 2005, The Sheffield was converted to 580 luxury condos with a focus on refined
interiors, maximized City views, and white-glove services.
Built by Hyman Shapiro and designed by Emery Roth & Sons, the 58-story building was a strong foundation for the conversion completed by CetraRuddy Architects. The expanded condos range from smart studios to spacious four-bedroom homes.
The Sheffield community includes friendly and helpful staff from warm and welcoming doormen to a conscientious and well-run board. The vast amount of convenient services also include fitness trainers, massage therapists, and more.
Located in the City’s acclaimed “Billionaires' Row,” The Sheffield is at West 57th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. Shopping, dining, and entertainment options abound, as well as public transportation within walking distance. The Sheffield also offers convenient bike and car parking.
